I've been a busy bee lately with fundraising..I've been sending out letters, doing bake sales, raffles, yoga classes..it's been crazy. I've never had to fundraise for anything before so this has been a very enriching experience. I've gotten to meet so many people and hear all about them and their experiences with MS. Here's some pics of one of our recent bake sales (I'm the one in the second pic).
I also just recently got my bike in! It's a Windsor Fens I got from Bikes Direct. The last time I rode on a bike it was a mountain bike with a flat tire on the Huckleberry trail - after riding on that I thought I would have a horrible time biking, but after taking the Fens out on some rides I know that's not the case. :) It's been kinda rough to get used to the gears and the clipless pedals, but I'm coming along. Here's the Fens hanging out in my room.
A couple girlfriends and I went on a ride today on the Huckleberry trail and needless to say..this time was much more effortless! I'm really getting to love my Fens. :) It does need some improvements though, such as a new saddle. Lots of friends have recommended a Brooks saddle, so I'll be looking into that soon. I also need to get all my gear for this summer, like camping gear, riding shorts, helmet mirror, etc..it sounds like a bunch of stuff now, but really it's all necessary.
